The Intra-Company Transfer Work Visa is designed for employees of multinational companies who are being transferred or seconded to a South African branch, subsidiary, or affiliate. To apply for this visa, the employee must be currently employed at the company abroad for a minimum of six months.
This visa is valid for a maximum of four years. It does not lead to permanent residency and cannot be renewed beyond the initial period. Once the assignment is completed, the employee must return to their home country or pursue alternative visa options if continued employment in South Africa is desired.
